About Cafe Venice

A little trivia for you:

Our establishment once resided upstairs over The SunBug, and previous owners (Roger and Biata) relocated to the first floor and across the street to enjoy more first floor guest traffic. He later sold, to an out of town and off-site owner, who retired and sold the restaurant to our very own Kay Ann Kropac, in December of 2006. Kay came from a long time family owned restaurant in Painesville, Ohio-and many of our guests have even dined there. What a small world! Kay waitressed for Roger, and also later managed Café Venice- so she really knew the clientele and as a local Venice resident, truly recognized the need to please our guests, and to become a more active part of the Venice Community. It was a warming and welcome event when she was able to acquire Café Venice and we are excited to do our part to enhance the downtown community. As an active member of Main Street Association and active member of Venice Community Events-we are excited to see what the future will hold for us.

Our Head Chef (Pamela Abdo) studied in Chile, and she offers an excellent blend of fine cuisines, and uses only the finest quality ingredients in her special recipes. (See our Menu). Her homemade sauces, specialty side dishes, and delectable desserts will warm your heart and please your palate. We offer beer and wine, and have recently expanded our wine list to include a reasonably priced Specialty Reserve list . This is something we change from time to time, as certain things become more or less available to us- and we love to hear your suggestions. Also, look for our upcoming Wine Dinners ; where we feature a wine and winemaker and offer specially prepared-off-the menu courses which are individually matched with each wine selection of the evening. What Are Customers are Saying

I have been to Cafe Venice twice recently and this is definitely one of the best restaurants in Venice. My husband and I travel a lot and dine out regularly and I have to say this place is worth a visit. The flavors blend so well together. Last night I had the tuna and my husband had to the veal. Both were delicious. The bread is always fresh and warm. The wine list suits our tastes and the service is very good. We shared an appetizer of the scallops and again, the flavors in the sauce were excellent. We will definitely be back!
